Yesterday I posted about my beautiful cupboard in my sewing room. Last night I received an email which made me laugh. Now I'm not going to throw my blogging friend under the bus and tell you who it was but the email said "What's in your drawers". So I wrote back and said "The ones I'm wearing or the ones in the cupboard. So after we cleared that up I will show you which ones she was wondering about (bet your hoping she means the cupboard)..
And just to prove it's not all about Christmas..
And considering I hardly ever do stitcheries I think I may have enough thread..
So dear blogging friend that is some of what is in my drawers..
I am one of those lucky girls who has a sewing room all of her own. No table in a corner, or room shared with small children and tiny toys. A room all of my own that I can do what I like in and then walk out and shut the door. I am grateful for this and really do appreciate how special this is. So the very beautiful Peg (Happy In Quilting) asked me for a little peak. So while it is tidy I will let you see..
The favourite thing in my room is this....
My beautiful and much loved cupboard.
I love it that much to make it fit in my old house my hubby and SIL had to take a window out to get it in. So of course to get it out and on a truck for the big move they had to take the window out again!!
My room has lot's of cupboards..
Look Peg at the moment everything is neat and tidy.
Peg this cupboard is full of kits I didn't even know I had lol!
On Monday I received Happy Mail from the beautiful Cheryll (stitchingcubbyhole)..
I was just tickled pink to receive this and it really made my day. At the moment it is hiding my Tilda present for my swap partner in Friends Having Fun Swap. Maybe I could lift the corner and give
XXXX a little sneak peak of what they are getting. You thought I was going to tell you where it is going weren't you.....
I know it's been forever since I blogged. I don't want you to think I have been lazy and idle.
We did this..
It took four trucks, six men and two days and that was only the house contents, we moved all the stuff from 4 sheds on our own!! This truck was the sewing room and all the Jim Shore boxes (I know I really do have a problem). I think I underestimated what a big job moving was going to be. At the end of day one we were all..
Beyond tired and then the next day we started all over again. It took over a week to empty our old house and it has taken four weeks to unpack and we returned just over 200 boxes (no wonder I was so tired). Gran daughter bought around a cold that she kindly shared which did get bad enough for me to have to lay down for a few days (I really didn't need much of an excuse). We are now officially unpacked, settled and very happy.
I was also lucky enough Mothers Day weekend to go to a retreat at Phillip Island and I did this..
How clever am I? We had a wonderful tutor Kerry Gillespie and it was a whole lot of fun.
On Saturday night we did this..
This is a group of the most loving, kind, caring girls who I am lucky enough to call my friends. Oh and I'm not going to tell you which one I am lol.
The other fabulous thing that happened this weekend was I got to meet the gorgeous Helen from helenspatchworkpassion. Helen is in my Friends Having Fun Swap and I was just thrilled to meet her in person. She is an absolute sweetheart and it really did make the weekend VERY special.
I also finished hubby's quilt, made two new big garden beds, been babysitting - no wonder I've had no time to blog lol.. So tomorrow I will show you some photos of my new sewing room (while it's tidy).
