I must be getting older.
I use to manage to get all my housework done in one day with no trouble.
Well today it felt like a workout.  My heart was not in it.  After I cleaned, washed, ironed and got dinner ready I needed a lay down and a cup of tea.
While lying there I had a thought...
Now that's much more fun than cleaning..

It is a cupcake tin Advent Calendar.
The numbered square comes off and you can fit a little treat in there.
Want a closer look..
I took the photo at night so sadly the glitter doesn't show up but it's really cute.  I had two but one got sold on Saturday.
I am working on a date for a workshop at the end of October..maybe this will be the project what do you think?

I had a Christmas Workshop here last weekend and the bonus was that the beautiful Jo from Butter Z came to stay Friday night.  We had a little lunch, did a little shopping, laughed a whole lot and managed a little sewing.
Jo spoilt me with some beautiful presents.
How cute are these!  Jo does the most beautiful work and I keep thinking they are too beautiful to wash grubby dishes with.  I think I will just leave them on the table for a few more days because every time I look at them they make me smile.  There was also a bottle of wine which hubby was very happy about.
Thanks Jo it was wonderful having you here.

What a wonderful weekend.  I held my first Christmas workshop and I think I had more fun than the girls did.
Beautiful Jo from Butter Z came and stayed Friday night and I really did have a Friday Night sewing with a Friend!
Saturday was workshop day.
Jo, Mel, Annie and Lorraine came.
I made them a little prezzie..
Inside were a couple of little treats for them.
I put them to work and by the end of the day..
Tah dah they had a Nodder to go home with them.
Here is Jo, Mel and Annie (Lorraine doesn't like having here photo taken I can't imagine that lol).
What a great photo.
Now I didn't let them go hungry but I did forget to take photos of the food, actually I forgot to take any photos so Jo kindly shared with me.
If you would like to see some other photos pop over to Mel's blog (The house on the side of the hill)
she has done a lovely post.
Thanks for coming girls I had a really wonderful weekend.
Since it went so well I hope to start having a few more workshops, so if you are interested let me know and you can come on down for a day on the farm.
I also have some Nodders for sale so pop over to the shop page and have a look if you are interested.
Well I'm off to enjoy the sunshine and do a little gardening.

Well Cheryl and Mel commented the other day that there was never a dull moment at my place...well they sure are right.
My favourite sheep mumma was due to have her baby in about a week.
So I go out yesterday to pick up some manure for the garden and look what I found..
Good on you mumma..
Now remember Daisy got into the septic the other day..well I gave her a stern talking..
Oh dear just like my children when they were teenagers...she didn't listen.  Only trouble was hubby was away..lucky I had a son to help me take the fence down again.
So we got them all sorted and everyone into their paddock for the night.
Mumma and her baby were put into the little secure paddock for the night to keep them safe from Mr Foxy.  Two AM I woke to mumma really, really upset.  I was out of bed, grabbed the flashlight, out the laundry door, into gumboots, down two steps and into the paddock in record time...look and look no baby!!  Mummas crying, I'm nearly crying and then I hear this tiny little noise.  Baby has somehow got down this small opening and got herself stuck behind the little shed.  Luckily by now hubby has turned up in his gumboots and undies (stop laughing Cheryl) and after a little effort we managed to reunite mumma and baby.
Nothing like a 2AM heart starter to keep you on your toes.

Don't you love it when you can pick flowers from your garden.
I picked these to go on the table on Wednesday when three very special people came and had lunch with me.  It really was a wonderful day with a little eating and lot's of talking...
I had a birthday recently and yesterday I got a parcel in the mail (don't you just love a parcel)..
It was from the beautiful Shez..
The card is just stunning and the photo doesn't do it justice..
One of her people towel and tea towel sets.  This one has the Chamomile Tea label on it, isn't that the calming tea..maybe she is trying to tell me something lol..
Also beautiful thread and a really cute thread holder.  Thanks Shez it was incredibly thoughtful of you to put such a beautiful parcel together for me.
There really is nothing more precious than good friends..

No sewing being done at the moment.
Today I could hear one of the sheep sounding really stressed so out I go.
We have our septic fenced off so the animals can't get in there and do any damage..
Oh look..Daisy has somehow managed to get herself in there...except her babies are on the other side of the fence..
And now everyone is crying (no not me just the babies)..
So I sum up the situation...I can climb over the fence, probably fall on my face and some how try and lift the sheep up and over the fence...yeah you know that's just going to end in tears right..maybe I have better come up with another plan..
Luckily hubby was already on his way home from work and all he had to do was dismantle the fence..
So out comes Daisy but now her baby want's to see what all the fuss was about...
If nothing else they keep me on my toes..

After a rough start to the week things improved.
I had a birthday.
I started the day by going to the supermarket to get supplies for a family dinner.
This jumped in the trolley...
By the time I got it home it was at the perfect temperature to scoop out a little and test it to make sure it was suitable.  Delicious!!  Not sure why the girl from The Biggest Loser doesn't think ice-cream is suitable for breakfast.
I had a wonderful lunch with a lovely friend.
I was very spoilt by my family.
My dear friend Cheryl from Cheryl's Stitching surprised me with this beautiful parcel..
Wait till you see inside..
My beautiful sheep pin cushion matches my sheep out in the paddock, thanks Cheryl I just love it.
I might just go and have another piece of liquorice before I go to bed.
